Book A Ride
How it works
Open your app and sign in to Lagos Ride
Tap the ‘where do you want to go’ field. This will open a screen that lets you input your pickup and drop off location
Tap on the ‘destination’ field and input your destination, the app will display a listing of addresses that matches your input, tap the listing that best matches the location based on the locations’ address and name
Tap on the ‘Ride class’ field and select preferred class of ride
Select payment option
Tap on ‘proceed’
Review information displayed and ‘confirm’ you can adjust the pin on the map to your exact location.
Upon confirmation, the app will send your request to the nearest driver to you.
From your app, you can see when a driver is en route your pickup location, when he arrives, and the wait time.
Select a class of ride
Lagos Ride allows users to book and share the cost of a ride with commuters with similar transit patterns. It allows for single occupancy (CLASS A). However, sharing a ride (B, C and D) results to cheaper fares per user trip.
CLASS A
Single occupancy, high-end luxury service. When you select class A ride, it means you are willing to ride alone,and solely bear the cost of the trip. This is most preferred option for commuters that wants to just up and go. Class A trip fare is slightly higher than the rest of the classes.
For a class A ride, you can make multiple stops by updating destination. You can also delay your trip mid-way for a fee.
CLASS B
This class of ride is for no more than two (2) riders in the vehicle. When you request for a class B ride, the app will pair you with a rider who has the same transit pattern as you. Your requests will be sent to one driver. LagosRide will pick you and your co-rider up before starting the trip, so you don’t incur any trip fare for the time spent on pick up.
CLASS C
This class of ride is for no more than three (3) riders in the vehicle. When you request for a class C ride, the app will pair you with two riders who have the same transit pattern as you. Your requests will be sent to one driver. LagosRide will pick you and your co-riders up before starting the trip, so you don’t incur any trip fare for the time spent on pick up.
CLASS D
This class of ride is for no more than four (4) riders in the vehicle. When you request for a class D ride, the app will pair you with three riders who have the same transit pattern as you. Your requests will be sent to one driver. LagosRide will pick you and your co-riders up before starting the trip, so you don’t incur any trip fare for the time spent on pick up.
